Terms of Service

Welcome to Yekoling, a mobile language learning application developed and operated by GEEPAR LABS - SMC LIMITED ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using Yekoling (the "App" or "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

  • Agreement: These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you ("User", "you") and GEEPAR LABS - SMC LIMITED.
  • Age Requirements: Yekoling is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must review these Terms with a parent or legal guardian.

2. User Accounts & Guest Access

A. Account Registration

To unlock all features and synchronize progress across devices, you may register an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining account security.

B. Guest Mode

You may access limited features in Guest Mode. Progress made in Guest Mode is stored strictly on your local device and cannot be recovered or transferred across devices.

C. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion without prior notice if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive activities.

3. Intellectual Property Rights & Content

  • Ownership: All lesson materials, translations, code, UI designs, audio clips, and trademarks are the exclusive property of GEEPAR LABS - SMC LIMITED.
  • AI-Generated Audio: Certain audio assets within the App may be generated using artificial intelligence tools, all of which are curated and verified for pronunciation accuracy.
  • No User Submissions: Yekoling does not allow users to upload, publish, or share custom content publicly within the App.
  • Restrictions: You agree not to reverse engineer, scrape, decompile, or use app content/audio to train external AI or machine learning models without explicit written permission.

4. Prohibited Conduct

When using Yekoling, you agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of local or international laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or backend database systems.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or software to manipulate study streaks or app metrics.

5. Service Updates & Availability

We continuously improve Yekoling and may modify, update, or suspend any feature at any time. We are not responsible for lost progress caused by local storage clearing or uninstalled applications.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

YEKOLING IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. GEEPAR LABS - SMC LIMITED DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ACCURACY OF LEARNING CONTENT AND UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GEEPAR LABS - SMC LIMITED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda.
